AUCKLAND (AP) — Leaders from Pacific island nations are coordinating their approach to the upcoming international climate summit, preparing to present a united front on issues critical to their region's survival.
The Pacific Islands Forum has developed a joint declaration calling for accelerated emissions reductions and increased climate financing for vulnerable nations.
"We may be small, but our voice must be heard," said the forum's secretary general. "The future of our islands depends on the actions the world takes today."

Agreed! The Pacific community always comes together in times like these.
Great coverage by Samoa News as always. It's crucial that we stay informed about what's happening in our neighboring islands.
Does anyone know how we can donate or volunteer to help with the recovery efforts?
