The American Samoa Fono passed landmark education legislation today, allocating $8 million for school infrastructure improvements and teacher salary increases across the territory.
The bill, which passed with bipartisan support, addresses long-standing concerns about aging school facilities and teacher retention.
"Our teachers are the foundation of our children's future," said the bill's sponsor. "This investment recognizes their dedication and ensures our schools have the resources they need."
