The Samoan community in Southern California came together over the weekend for the annual Pacific Islander Festival, celebrating the rich cultural heritage that connects Samoans across the diaspora.
The event, held at a park in Carson, California, featured traditional dance performances, authentic Samoan cuisine, and cultural demonstrations that drew thousands of attendees.
"Events like this help our children stay connected to their roots," said one attendee who emigrated from American Samoa 15 years ago. "It's important for them to understand where they come from."
The festival also served as a fundraiser for community organizations supporting Samoan families in the Los Angeles area.

Agreed! The Pacific community always comes together in times like these.
Great coverage by Samoa News as always. It's crucial that we stay informed about what's happening in our neighboring islands.
Does anyone know how we can donate or volunteer to help with the recovery efforts?
You can donate through our official website or contact our local office. Every bit helps!
