The Samoan community of Seattle and the greater Pacific Northwest gathered for their annual Flag Day celebration, honoring American Samoa's unique status as a U.S. territory.
The event featured traditional food, music, and dance performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Samoa.
"Even though we're far from home, we carry our culture in our hearts," said the event organizer. "Flag Day reminds us of who we are and where we come from."
The celebration also included a special recognition ceremony for community elders.

Agreed! The Pacific community always comes together in times like these.
Great coverage by Samoa News as always. It's crucial that we stay informed about what's happening in our neighboring islands.
Does anyone know how we can donate or volunteer to help with the recovery efforts?
You can donate through our official website or contact our local office. Every bit helps!
