Scientists are closely monitoring increased seismic activity at the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai underwater volcano, which produced a massive eruption in January 2022.
While officials emphasize there is no immediate threat, the elevated activity has prompted precautionary advisories for maritime traffic in the area.
The 2022 eruption was one of the most powerful volcanic events ever recorded and triggered tsunami warnings across the Pacific, including American Samoa.

Great coverage by Samoa News as always. It's crucial that we stay informed about what's happening in our neighboring islands.
Does anyone know how we can donate or volunteer to help with the recovery efforts?
