A Leone High School graduate has been awarded a prestigious Navy ROTC scholarship, covering full tuition and expenses at the University of Hawaii.
The scholarship recipient maintained a 4.0 GPA while serving as student body president and captain of the volleyball team.
"I want to serve my country and make my family proud," she said. "This scholarship is a dream come true."
Upon graduation, she will be commissioned as an ensign in the United States Navy.
